The SSAO Institute is designed for the most senior student affairs officer on campus, which could be the vice president, chancellor, provost, or dean of students, depending on organizational structure.

The SSAO Institute is structured so as to provide maximum opportunity for dialog among the SSAO participants. Our discussions will focus on relevant and timely issues impacting the Student Affairs profession. This institute will provide an opportunity to learn from experts, while also benefiting from the wisdom of fellow SSAOs as we engage in lively conversations about our shared challenges, unique perspectives, and innovative approaches relative to the featured topics.

  • Expand their knowledge of current topics and trends impacting the Student Affairs field.
  • Build community with other vice presidents of student affairs and other top ranking student affairs officers.
  • Engage in best practices and special topics related to the SSAO role.

Cancellation Policy: 
The cancellation deadline is October 14, 2019. All requests for cancellations must be in writing and sent to Carmen Gold-Johnson at cgold@sa.utah.edu A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be provided after October 14, 2019. This program may be canceled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, fees will be refunded; however, NASPA will not be responsible for additional costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, and/or travel agencies. NASPA is not responsible for weather or travel related problems and will not reimburse registration fees for these issues.

Substitution Policy:
Substitutions will be allowed until October 14, 2019, and are only allowed between registrants with the same membership type (member to member, non-member to non-member) and the same registration type (professional to professional, student to student). All requests for substitutions must be in writing and sent to Carmen Gold-Johnson at cgold@sa.utah.edu.
