Conferences can be an overwhelming process especially if you are an undergraduate student who is attending the conference as a first-timer. The NUFP institute allows a group of students with similar interests and passion in higher education to share their knowledge, experiences and create life-long relationships with their peers and student affairs professionals. The NUFP institute fosters a community for undergraduate fellows who are interested in student affairs by providing them with mentorship, navigational skills, as well as knowledge and tools from the professionals in the field.

The conversations and workshops occuring in this space will encourage participants to reflect on a range of topics including intersectionalities, Community Cultural Wealth, understanding the impact of mentorship, learning about graduate school and valuing personal narratives through this process. The goal of the NUFP institute is to build bridges to professional practices and skills, create connections to each other and participants in the other institutes, and support them in identifying next steps to their academic and professional goals.

Join us at the 2019 NUFP Institute!
