We invite you to join us for the 2019 NASPA Region III Peer Education Spring Conference at Univeristy of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 5-6, 2019! Peer educators from across the region will gather to share, learn, and inspire.

This event was formerly known as the BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA Region III Spring Conference - all past attendees are welcome and encouraged to register!

There are numerous opportunities for student and advisor networking throughout the conference experience, both social and educational.  At this regional conference, peer educators gain the opportunity to connect with other peer educators in their own backyard, while advisors gain valuable time to discuss collaborative prospects for education and creating change across campuses. Whether you are able to bring your entire peer education group or just yourself, this experience is an incredible and rewarding opportunity to build and support our collective efforts in prevention and education.


Each year, Region III honors the work of outstanding peer educators and advisors at the regional conference by conferring awards. These awards include Outstanding Student, Outstanding Advisor, Outstanding Program, and Outstanding Peer Education Group. The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2019.

Student Advisory Committee

The Health, Safety, and Well-being Initiatives of NASPA Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a group of students who provide input and direction to the planning of student-focused efforts and events, including spring conference and General Assembly. The SAC is composed of one director, elected annually at General Assembly, and one representative from each of NASPA's seven regions. The regional representatives are selected through an application-based process. We encourage you to review the position description and application, and apply soon! Materials must be emailed to bacchusadmin@naspa.org by April 15, 2019.

Call for Programs

Region III invites you to submit a program proposal to present a 60-minute breakout session at our Spring Conference. Proposals from peer education groups and advisors are given preference. Proposals from other staff, faculty and prevention professionals are also welcome.

Session topics may include advising skills and issues, peer education group issues, student leadership and development, nutrition and fitness, promoting mental health and wellness, sexual health and relationships, alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, or sexual violence prevention and response.

Registration is based on NASPA institutional or individual membership status. If your peer education group is part of a college or university that is an institutional member, you and your group can register as many advisors/students as you would like at the member rate. If you or your institution are not members, visit the Membership section of the NASPA website to learn about membership types.

View Registration Policies

Cancellation/refund deadline less a $50.00 administrative fee is March 25, 2019. This program may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, fees will be refunded; however, NASPA will not be responsible for additional costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, and/or travel agencies. NASPA is not responsible for weather or travel related problems and will not reimburse registration fees for these issues. Please click here to submit a refund request. Refunds will not be processed after March 25, 2019 for any reason.

Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. To inquire about the status of a refund after 10 business days, please send an email to refund@naspa.org.

Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed by individuals within the same institution/company. Substitutions should have the same member classification so that the payment is an even exchange transfer of payment. Additional charges may apply if the membership status is not the same. Please email your request for the substitute attendee to refund@naspa.org.

Purchase Orders: NASPA does NOT accept purchase orders as a form of payment. For registrants requiring an invoice to have a check payment processed, please use the Bill Me payment method to complete your registration. The resulting invoice can be found and downloaded under the My NASPA section of the website (must be logged-in), by selecting theView Invoices link from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, email a request to Membership to have a PDF of your invoice sent to you. Bill Me registrations are considered complete and will hold your place in an event, however the balance due must be settled prior to attending.
