The role of a collegiate peer health education advisor is complex, ever changing, and sometimes poorly defined. There is no handbook, training, or manual when it comes to working with peer health education groups. The Advisors Institute is intended for both newer professionals, as well as those that have years of advising experience. One track of Advisors Institute will build on content from Advisor Academy for more experienced practioners, while an Advisor Academy track will be offered for newer advisors.  Workshops will focus on group development, recruitment and retention of peer educators, assessment and evaluation, student learning outcomes, and more. Whether you come from a public health, student affairs, counseling, or other background, this institute will provide the foundation and go deeper into what every peer education advisor needs.

  • Models of peer education
