Finances are Difficult for us all to Understand
Financial wellness doesn't just impact our students - even faculty, staff, and administrators struggle with understanding their financial well-being.
Financial Well-Being has a Major Impact on Student Success
Did you know that in 2015, researchers at The Ohio State University found that a staggering 70% of college students are stressed about finances? This stress has some serious implications for student success.
Don't Worry, We're Here to Help
NASPA and The Ohio State are once again offering this Symposium to bring together professionals from all divisions of our universities to explore the ways in which they can start a conversation between themselves and their students so we can all be more financially stable. The Symposium's programs will explore evidence-based practices, innovative research, and current trends so you can do just that.
Attend this Symposium to:
Expand knowledge of current trends in collegiate financial well-being;
Recognize the barriers students may face while developing an understanding of financial well-being;
Understand the lifelong impact of financial planning before, during, and after college; and
Learn the ways in which personal identities may intersect with students' financial choices.
Two Conferences: One Price
The Symposium on Collegiate Financial Well-Being is an incredible opportunity to engage with professionals to discuss supporting our students' financial wellness...but why stop there? This event is co-located with the 2018 NASPA Closing the Achievement Gap Conference, meaning all workshops, keynotes, and panels from both events are available for you to attend.
