2018 New Mexico Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NMASAP) Annual Symposium

February 22 – February 23, 2018
University of New Mexico - Student Union Building

Today’s college campuses are feeling the effects of our ever-changing, more complex world. Many of us in higher education find ourselves trying to figure out ways to do more with less funding while remaining not only productive in our roles, but more importantly, supportive to our students. We question the definition of campus climate and how that pertains to inclusivity on campus. And finally, we try to decode what’s happening with regard to immigration both on a national and local level

These and other questions will be discussed in a productive and optimistic setting designed to bring individuals together to collaborate on ideas on how to make our campuses better for students and staff.

NMASAP will be holding the 2018 Symposium on UNM Main campus in Albuquerque, NM (UNM Student Union Ballroom) on February 22-23, 2018. Three diverse panels consisting of faculty, staff and students from several New Mexico colleges and universities will discuss critical topics such as:

  • Funding for Higher Education
  • Campus Climate
  • Immigration

We plan for this to be interactive, educational and informative for all attendees. Please join us in discussing these challenging issues in a productive and optimistic setting where we can all come together and share ideas to make our campuses more inclusive.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY: Join us on Thursday, Feb. 22 (4-6pm) to meet new people and to become acquainted with student affairs professionals from across the state at UNM’s University Club.  Don’t forget to bring business cards.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS: We highly encourage student attendance and participation at NMASAP.
