A one-day professional development Drive-In Conference focused on navigating the job search, brought to you by the NASPA Region VI Southern California Executive Board.


The job search, whether you will be a new professional or are considering next steps in your career, can be a sometimes overwhelming, yet clarifying, process.

The Southern California Executive Committee is the voice of NASPA Region VI and NASPA National from Southern California (San Diego to Santa Barbara). In addition, the Southern California Executive Committee organizes networking and professional development opportunities for Student Affairs professionals throughout the region. This February, we are proud to host our annual conference that focuses on the nuances of the job search process in student affairs and the incorporation of best practices as presented by seasoned professionals and hiring directors.

  • Identifying strategies to maintain wellness and resiliency during the job search process.
  • Exploring the Ed.D. or Ph.D. route, including identifying when and why to pursue it.
  • Tips for navigating the search process, as well as developing a quality resume and interview skills.
  • Navigating your identity in the professional setting.

California State University, Fullerton is a major regional university in a vital, flourishing area that includes Orange County, metropolitan Los Angeles and the expanding Inland Empire.
