The University of Texas at San Antonio

Tour Focus: University Center, One Stop Enrollment Center, Student Housing

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the University Centers including innovative meeting rooms, lounge space and solar panels. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is an emerging Tier One research institution specializing in health, energy, security, sustainability, and human and social development. With nearly 29,000 students, it is the largest university in the San Antonio metropolitan region.

Trinity University

Tour Focus: Center for Sciences and Innovation

Home to eight academic departments, the McNair Scholars Program, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Center for the Sciences & Innovation is Trinity’s hub for collaborative learning and productive collisions. Students and faculty across all disciplines utilize the building to experience hands-on, research-based education. At nearly 280,000 square feet, CSI houses 43 research labs and 24 teaching labs, as well as an engineering studio, greenhouse, green roof, and vivarium.

Trinity University is located in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, approximately three miles north of downtown. The Trinity Pathways curriculum blends the liberal arts and sciences with business and pre-professional programs, enriching students’ writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills. The University equips 2,400 students through experiential learning, undergraduate research, and international engagement, preparing them to be global stewards for change.

Saint Mary’s University

Tour Focus: St. Louis Hall

Participants will have the chance to tour historic St. Louis Hall on the campus of St. Mary’s. Because of downtown crowding, in 1891 the Marianists purchased 75 acres northwest of the city to build a school for boarding students. The purchase price was $1 on the condition the school be built quickly. St. Louis College – renamed St. Mary’s University in 1923 opened its doors in 1894. Today, St. Louis Hall is a hub for administration and faculty offices.

St. Mary’s University was founded in 1852 by Marianist brothers and priests, and is the first institution of higher learning in San Antonio and the oldest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest.
